摘要: The transtibial amputation is a common operation for which there little agreement regarding technique provides the most reliable and resilient outcomes. We performed retrospective chart review of all amputations by single surgeon between 2004 2011 using posterior myocutaneous flap with triceps surae myodesis technique. A stepwise logistic regression analysis was to evaluate association independent variables dependent outcome variables. total 270 patients 294 were identified. Ambulation data available 192 mean follow-up 18.4 months. This cohort had an overall ambulation rate 75%, 12% incidence stump wounds, 24% operative revision only 2% required conversion transfemoral amputation. durable soft tissue coverage in setting
