摘要: Several recent association studies implicate three neighbouring regions of chromosome 8q24 as the site prostate cancer susceptibility loci. One region contains both a microsatellite marker DG8S737 and single nucleotide polymorphism rs1447295. Both have been consistently associated with risk in several populations. However, to date not inquired whether this particular extends other sites. We genotyped 3822 cases various sites 1807 controls for rs1447295 polymorphism. A positive was seen cancer, but any studied [odds ratios (ORs) ranging from 0.8 1.1]. Prostate were rs1447285 DG8S737. Significant ORs observed allele (OR= 1 .4; P=0.01) -8 . 6 ; P= 0 006 ). The particularly strong men familial 2 , P=0.004 allele; OR=3.5, P< 0.0001 allele). OR slightly higher aggressive tumours (Gleason score 8 or more) 5 ), than Gleason 7 below .3). In conclusion, relationship between polymorphic variants on is Polish population similar degree it has elsewhere. Although carcinogenic mechanism locus unclear appears be specific cancer.
