摘要: The abundant and indiscriminant disposal of waste tyres has caused both health environmental problems. In this work, we provide a new way to dispose off by reusing the tyre rubber (WTR) for oil absorptive material production. To investigate feasibility, series absorbents were prepared graft copolymerization-blending method, using 4-tert-butylstyrene (tBS) as monomers. Divinylbenzene (DVB) benzoyl peroxide (BPO) employed crosslinker initiator, respectively. existence graft-blends (WTR-g-tBS) was determined FTIR spectrometry verified thin-layer chromatography (TLC). addition, thermal properties WTR-g-tBS confirmed thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). Oil absorbency grafted-blends increased with increases in either feed ratio WTR tBS or DVB concentration. This reached maximum 24.0gg(-1) concentration 60/40 1wt%, respectively, after which it decreased. At other ratios concentrations gel fraction increasing DVB. Oil-absorption processes pure toluene crude diluted found adhere first-order absorption kinetics. Furthermore, oil-absorption rate observed be lower than toluene.
