摘要: Introduction : atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory conditioncharacterized by the accumulation of lipids and fibrous elements in large arteries. It known that high levels LDL cholesterol low HDL associate with an increased risk developing atherosclerosis. Aim study to characterize apolipoprotein component plasma lipoproteins isolated from atherosclerotic patients undergoing carotid endarterectomy identify differentially expressed apolipoproteins between controls. Methods analyses were performed on 4 pooled samples 57 healthy volunteers 79 patientsundergoing endarterectomy. Lipoproteins isopycnic ultracentrifugation subjected two dimensional electrophoresis analysis followed peptide mass fingerprinting. Moreover, fraction mono- bi-dimensional western blotting was performed. Results several lipoprotein associated proteins identified. Some them differently compared In particular, SAA higher VLDL, apo E VLDL LDL. Conclusions improving knowledge composition structure may help revealing role atherogenesis. Moreover identification new biomarkers could be useful diagnosis improve therapeutic approaches adopted for treatment atherosclerosis.
