摘要: Neotropical parrots are among the most threatened groups of birds in world, and many species facing extinction a near future. At same time, taxonomic position remains unclear. Karyotype analysis has been used to elucidate phylogenetic status bird groups, also providing important information for both situ ex conservation plans. The objective present study was describe first time karyotypes endangered Hyacinth Macaw, Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus, Hawk-headed Parrot, Deroptyus accipitrinus. A diploid number 2n = 70 karyotype similar main pattern previously found genera Ara, Cyanopsitta, Aratinga, Propyrrhura, Pionites, Pionopsitta, Nandayus, Guaruba were species.
