摘要: Dialkyl vinylphosphonates such as dimethyl vinylphosphonate (DMVP) and diethyl were quantitatively polymerized with dicumyl peroxide (DCPO) at 130°C in bulk. The polymerization of DMVP DCPO was kinetically studied bulk by fourier transform near-infrared spectroscopy (FTNIR) electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy. initial rate (Rp) given Rp = k[DCPO]0.5[DMVP]1.0 110°C, being the same that conventional radical involving bimolecular termination. overall activation energy estimated to be 26.2 kcal/mol. system involved ESR-observable propagating polymer radicals under practical conditions. ESR-determined constants propagation (kp) termination (kt) kp 19 L/mol s kt 5.8 × 103 respectively. molecular weight resultant poly(DMVP)s low (Mn 3.4 − 3.5 103), because high chain transfer constant (Cm 3.9 10−2 110°C) monomer. (M1) showed a considerably reactivity copolymerization trimethoxyvinylsilane (TMVS) (M2) 110°C bulk, giving an inorganic component-containing functional copolymer potential flame-retardant properties; r1 1.6 r2 0. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
