摘要: This work is the first in a series of articles addressing energy optimization ice hockey halls. Here we adopt an analytical method, called functional optimization, to find which design and operating conditions maximize Coefficient Of Performance entire cooling system (brine pumps tower), call ${\rm COP}_{sys}$. addressed as function several variables, like electric consumption brine physical properties. By maximizing such function, best configuration choices for can thus be determined accurately rigorously. We investigate importance pipe diameter, depth type (ethylene glycol ammonia) average-sized rinks. An optimal density found, compute weight on Our formulas are validated with heat flow measurement data obtained at hall Finland. They also confronted technical cost-related constraints, implemented by simulations program COMSOL Multiphysics. The multivariable approach here discussed general, applied rigorous preliminary study diverse situations building physics many other areas interest.
