摘要: Abstract Nitrogen balance was studied in ten patients receiving peripheral solutions of the following: (1) 5 per cent dextrose and water; (2) 3 amino acids; (3) acids alone. Significant improvement nitrogen observed when were administered without glucose. This associated with lower insulin glucose levels elevated free fatty ketones. A new concept on which to base parenteral protein-sparing therapy is presented.
