摘要: Poorly oxygenated (hypoxic) tumors are frequently more aggressive compared to corresponding that better oxygenated. Adaptation hypoxia is primarily mediated by two closely related inducible transcription factor complexes, HIF-1 and HIF-2, which become stabilized activated at low oxygen levels. Whether HIF-2 have different roles in tumorigenesis an open question issue we discuss. With focus on summarize reported phenotypical changes of HIF genetic models expression patterns during normal development, adult non-malignant tissues tumors. We further address the much-discussed subject target gene preferences between given both factors bind same DNA motif. Finally, also discuss observations oxygen-sensitive HIF-2α subunit accumulated active under non-hypoxic conditions as exemplified expressing tumor macrophages neuroblastoma cells located seemingly well...
