摘要: In the vertebrate eye, retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) and neural retina arise from a single layer of neuroectoderm. Factors influencing differentiation neurons have been identified; however, little is known about molecules directing RPE. Here we found that neurotrophin brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) plays an autocrine role in survival Xenopus laevis Fluorescent situ hybridization studies showed precise co-expression BDNF its receptor trkB neuroepithelium actively differentiating RPE; vitro demonstrated survival- differentiation-promoting effects serum-free explants dissociated cultures.
