摘要: Abstract Purpose: To project the consequences of privatizing or deregulating current alcohol retail monopolies in Ontario, Canada. Methods: The projection is based on a multiplicative model and applied to estimate per capita consumption for four hypothetical scenarios, including both partial complete privatization Province Those scenarios are mainly focused two dimensions changes affected by privatization: physical availability economic (i.e., prices). Various assumptions involving prices largely Canadian international research literature deregulation/privatization. Results Implications: study showed that short/medium term expected increase all examined, with magnitude ranging from 11% 27%. sensitivity analysis also revealed similar consumption, even though would be less some scenarios.
