摘要: Abstract Dunhuang UNESCO Global Geopark (DHGG) is rich in geoheritage and contains scientific value for studying the sedimentation environments paleoclimates of Western China. The also notable its aesthetic, cultural, artistic, recreational tourism development. Since geographer Sven Hedin’s discovery a yardang landform around Lop Nur 1903, area has been heavily studied. After site was designated National Geopark, geoconservation geotourism began to rapidly develop problems associated with these changes emerged. This study characterizes some DHGG’s typical geoheritage, existing geoconservation, launched geotourism, describes area’s challenges. In addition, opportunities challenges DHGG arising from construction Silk Road Economic Belt 21st-Century Maritime (B&R) are discussed. To benefit sustainable development DHGG, it prudent continue promoting geodiversity, by making use advantages brought B&R.
