摘要: This article examines the changing nature of disability activism through influence social media. As disabled people in United Kingdom have been subjected to acute austerity, this has coincided with a new era channelled increased media participation. Drawing on analysis one group’s online activities and qualitative content protest coverage traditional news during 2012 Paralympic Games, positions shift broader framework ‘new ecology’. We explore how emerging structures begun offer more visible profile challenge government policy negative stereotypes people. highlights usefulness campaigning strategies for generating favourable protest.
