摘要: In this study, ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) filled epoxy gradient composites have been developed. Samples were prepared for different centrifugation time periods. SEM and optical microstructures confirmed the graded dispersion of UHMWPE particles in matrix. Quick estimation characteristics has done by abrasive wear measurements. Sliding tests conducted using a pin-on-disc machine. The sliding rate reduced on increasing time. Reduction attributed to reduction tensile contact stresses as result lubricating effect UHMWPE's smooth surface highly entangled chain structure UHMWPE.
