摘要: Despite efforts at various levels, racial health disparities still exist in cancer patients. These inequalities incidence and/or clinical outcome can only be explained by a multitude of factors, with genetic basis being one them. Several investigations have provided convincing evidence to support epigenetic regulation cancer-associated genes, which results the differential transcriptome and proteome, may linked pre-disposition individuals certain race/ethnicity early or more aggressive cancers. Recent technological advancements ability quickly analyze whole genome aided these efforts, owing their relatively easy detection, methylation events are much well-characterized, than acetylation events, across human populations. The trend investigating pre-determined set genes for is paving way unbiased screening. This review summarizes our current understanding that been tied differences mortality. A better epigenetics diversity holds promise design execution novel strategies targeting epigenome reducing disparity gaps.
