摘要: Abstract Purpose We examined factors associated with the night-time index fall in a population-based sample of hip fracture patients specific focus on effect nocturia and visits to bathroom falling at night. Material methods The study population comprised 849 (69%) aged 65 years over. Data were collected by means interviews. Age- gender-adjusted multivariate logistic regression analyses used. Results Of these patients, 122 (14%) had fallen between midnight 06:00. fallers, compared daytime 38% vs 9% way bathroom. these, 95% reported least once. After adjusting for age gender, 90 years, taking 4–10 or more than 10 medications, reporting any three times, bathroom, non-independent mobility level use walking aid significantly In analysis, having (OR 4.45; CI 2.65–7.46), times 2.44; 1.15–5.16) 1.84; 1.08–3.11) remained night-time. Conclusions Falling severe impairment independently falls older patients. findings offer insights into understanding preventing fractures oldest frailest population.
