摘要: Abstract Aspirin has a propensity to cause ulcers and Zn2+ is known possess anti-ulcer as well anti-inflammatory activity. The zinc complex of aspirin was therefore synthesised its structure determined by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, UV, DSC, atomic absorption spectroscopy elemental analysis. physicochemical properties the such pH-solubility profile at 25°C partition coefficient were compared with that aspirin. Anti-inflammatory studies (using carrageenan-induced hind paw edema method) showed 2.64-times more potent than 1.73-times physical mixture sulphate.
