摘要: Abstract In practice what they preach in research and education, higher education institutions (HEIs) must consider economic, ecological, social impacts their quest for sustainable operations. We contribute to the understanding of transformation responsible management through development a dual analysis barriers drivers derive implementation strategies. drawing on stakeholder theory, dynamic capabilities, organisational psychology, we proposed multilevel identify manifestations relation external environmental, organisational, group, individual (EOGI) levels. Using operations as an illustrating example, demonstrated how barrier driver analysis, specified by theory-driven EOGI subcategories, improved Therefore, conducted systematic review combined with content after which, synthesised 56 empirical studies, derived 30 strategies sustainability, compared them recent results. As result, have identified avenues future implications policy practice. Where current tends place more emphasis environmental impact comparison other sustainability dimensions, call comprehensive acknowledge multidimensional interrelated construct, while accounting characteristics HEIs members organisations.
