摘要: The mandible of a deceased 19-year-old young woman who had been treated with an edgewise appliance was removed during autopsy. overall tooth movements the 19 months treatment were reconstructed (treatment documents) and compared macroscopic, radiologic, micromorphologic findings incisor/alveolar bone/symphysis complex dry mandible. initial lateral cephalogram revealed extremely narrow high symphysis, incisor position straight above thin bone. During treatment, incisors moved to lingual (lingual root torque) derotated. Morphologic evaluation (oral) aspects roots reaching some millimeters out alveolar bone largely without cortical plate covering. Lateral dental contact radiographs any bone/incisor segment showed sagittal width be smaller than labiolingual (orobuccal) diameter roots. A comparison approximate pretherapeutic height, which assessed by measuring distance from cementoenamel junction most coronal margin resorption in scanning electron microscopy, that specimen calculated loss on aspect extending 2.3 6.9 mm. On labial (buccal) aspect, far less pronounced. These results suggest case pronounced derotation routine orthodontic fixed may critical lead progressive plates.
