摘要: Medical students at the University of Missouri were taught to search MEDLINE using Grateful Med software. The traffic files student searches analyzed for behavior. This paper reports on two specific aspects these analyses: (1) failed where retrieval was either too large or small (zero hits); and (2) a six month follow-up study which focused error rates retention skills. major reasons retrieving many citations entering phrase single subject line only one concept. Of zero hit searches, most commonly occurring errors MeSH (medical headings) not used, other errors, misspelling keyboard faulty logic.
