摘要: Abstract Multicomponent garnet materials can be made in optical ceramic as well single crystal form due to their cubic structure. In this work, high-quality Gd 3 Ga Al 2 O 12 :0.2 at% Ce (GGAG:Ce) and (Gd,Lu) :1 at% (GLuGAG:Ce) ceramics were fabricated by the Czochralski method a combination of hot isostatic pressing (HIPing) annealing treatment, respectively. Under X-ray excitation, GLuGAG:Ce exhibits broad 3+ transition emission centered at 550 nm, while peak GGAG:Ce is 540 nm. A self-absorption effect results red-shift compared that crystal. The light yield under 662 keV γ-ray excitation was 45,000±2500 photons/MeV 48,200±2410 for ceramic, An energy resolution 7.1% γ-rays achieved with Hamamatsu R6231 PMT, which superior value 7.6% Scintillation decay time measurements 137 Cs irradiation show two exponential components 58 ns (47%) 504 ns (53%) crystal, 84 ns (76%) 148 ns (24%) ceramic. afterglow level after cutoff least one order magnitude lower than
