摘要: Transnasal endoscopic surgery has remained at the forefront of surgical management sinogenic complications involving frontal sinus, orbit, and anterior skull base. However, difficulty in accessing certain areas these anatomical regions can potentially limit its use. Transorbital neuroendoscopic (TONES) was recently introduced to transgress limits transnasal surgery; access that it provides could add additional pathways for treating cranial fossa. We describe a prospective series 13 patients who underwent TONES various complications, including epidural abscess, orbital fronto-orbital mucocele or mucopyocele, as well subperiosteal abscess presenting with apex syndrome. The primary outcome measurement efficacy pathologies. provided effective All demonstrated postoperative resolution initial clinical symptoms well-hidden scars. There were no ophthalmologic recurrence pathology. Based on our experience, appears provide valuable addition current armamentarium selected sinusitis.
