摘要: Natriuretic peptides are an ancient family of hormones/paracrine factors that regulate blood pressure, cardiovascular homeostasis, and long bone growth. The mammalian consists atrial natriuretic peptide, B-type C-type peptide. All three derived from separate genes, but share a common 17-amino-acid disulfide ring is required for biological activity. A cell-surface receptors binds peptides. Two receptor guanylyl cyclases, enzymes catalyze the synthesis intracellular second messenger, cyclic guanosine mononucleotide, whereas one clearance controls local peptide concentrations via constitutive receptor-mediated endocytosis. In this article, structure, function, regulation each hormone discussed.
