摘要: Abstract The aim of this study was to investigate the effect silver-supported material (Novaron (N)) in acrylic resin (poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)) composites, which reinforced with zirconium dioxide nanoparticles (nano-ZrO 2 ) and aluminum borate whiskers (ABWs), on mechanical behavior, antibacterial properties cytotoxicity. Silanized ABWs (4 wt%) nano-ZrO (2 wt%) were mixed PMMA powder obtain –ABW/PMMA matrices. Various amounts Novaron particles incorporated into matrices pure test flexural strength. In addition, Streptococcus mutans ( S . Canidia albicans C biofilms specimen surface culture medium investigated for metabolic activity colony-forming units (CFUs). Extracts taken cell specimens used evaluate viability. Results showed that silanized could improve strength composites compared PMMA. itself had no function while it synergistic when ABWs. And 4 wt% (N-4) achieved an increase 44%, getting maximum value. For properties, values MTT CFUs greatly reduced p > 0.05).
