摘要: Scorpion α-toxin Lqh-2 is a basic polypeptide extracted from the venom of Israeli Scorpio Leiurus quinquestriatus hebraeus. It highly toxic for mammals because it causes arrhythmias, hyper- or hypotension, pulmonary oedema, respiratory failure, and neurological symptoms including lethargy, confusion, agitation disturbed consciousness. As other α-toxins, Lqh2 acts by slowing voltage-dependent sodium (Nav) channel inactivation. This effect depends on binding to specific receptor site Nav channels known as 3. Mutagenesis studies suggest that this made DI/S5-S6 DIV/S3-S4 loops.
