摘要: The iron chelator deferoxamine mesylate has been shown to inhibit the growth of a variety human malignant cell lines and rat 13762NF mammary adenocarcinoma line. In vivo studies in mice have also demonstrated that an deficiency induced by either feeding low diet or injecting decreases tumor growth. this study Fisher rats were transplanted with divided into four groups: normal diet, plus treatment, treatment. measurements size body weight recorded weekly. We found treatment decreased growth, but greatest inhibitory effect on occurred when treated injections fed diet. These treatments did not significantly gain rats. At end experiments measurement serum proved these caused deficiency, there was no significant related alteration blood hematocrit. therefore concluded may be useful chemotherapeutic agent breast cancer, used combination standard regiments other agents interfere metabolism, further restricting intake should considered planning chemotherapy for all cancer patients.
