摘要: The distribution of trace metals in active stream sediments from the mineralized Lom Basin has been evaluated. Fifty-five bottom were collected and mineralogical composition six pulverized samples determined by XRD. fine fraction (< 150 µm) was subjected to total digestion (HClO4 + HF + HCl) analyzed for using a combination ICP-MS AAS analytical methods. Results show that mineralogy is dominated quartz (39–86%), phyllosilicates (0–45%) feldspars (0–27%). Mean concentrations are low (e.g. As = 99.40 µg/kg, Zn = 573.24 µg/kg, V = 963.14 µg/kg Cr = 763.93 µg/kg). Iron Mn have significant average 28.325 442 mg/kg, respectively. Background threshold values computed statistically determine geochemical anomalies geologic or anthropogenic origin, particularly mining activity. Factor analysis, applied on normalized data, identified three associations: Ni–Cr–V–Co–As–Se–pH, Cu–Zn–Hg–Pb–Cd–Sc Fe–Mn. first association controlled source geology neutral pH, second sulphide mineralization last chemical weathering ferromagnesian minerals. Spatial analysis reveals similar trends Co–Cr–V–Ni Cu–Zn–Pb–Sc reflecting lithology basin. Relatively high levels As concordant with reported gold occurrences area while Fe consistent their Fe-bearing metamorphic rocks. These findings provide baseline common parallel geological domains eastern region Cameroon. Although this study shows not polluted, evaluation metal environmental abandoned mine sites comparison health risk assessment highly recommended.
