摘要: Background Previous articles explored the role of UGT1A1 polymorphism on predicting irinotecan-induced toxicity, but conclusions were still inconsistent and not comprehensive. We performed this meta-analysis to investigate association between toxicity. Methods PubMed Web Science searched for before July 2017. Inclusion exclusion criteria set select eligible articles, corresponding data extracted from those articles. Subgroup analyses based different cancer categories, doses races carried out achieve comprehensive results. Statistical conducted using STATA 11.0. Results A total 38 studies with 6742 cases included after reading full text. Both UGT1A1*6 UGT1A1*28 are significantly associated severe Asian Caucasian patients variant had an increased risk. Compared heterozygous variant, homozygous suffered a higher risk The effect diarrhea was less than neutropenia. analysis exhibited that polymorphism, treated low-dose irinotecan at notable Moreover, toxicity found in suffering respiratory system cancers. Conclusions polymorphisms can be considered as predictors varying by race, type dose.
