摘要: Advanced optical instruments can serve for analysis and manipulation of individual living cells their internal structures. We have used Raman microspectroscopic assessment β-carotene concentration in algal lipid bodies (LBs) vivo. Some algae contain high amounts LBs, including strains which are considered useful biotechnology pigment production. devised a simple method to measure the mixture storage lipids from ratio vibrations. This finding may allow fast acquisition valuable, e.g., microspectroscopy assisted cell sorting selection overproducing strains. Furthermore, we demonstrate that be proportional LB volume light intensity during cultivation. combine on microfluidic platform order achieve fast, effective, non-invasive based spectroscopic features cells. The resultant apparatus could find its use demanding biotechnological applications such as rare natural mutants or artificially modified resulting genetic manipulations.
