摘要: The magnetic moments in $\mathrm{Ni}/\mathrm{Pt}$ multilayers are thoroughly studied by combining experimental and ab initio theoretical techniques. SQUID magnetometry probes the samples' magnetizations. X-ray circular dichroism separates contribution of Ni Pt provides a layer-resolved moment profile for whole system. results compared to band-structure calculations. Induced localized mostly at interface revealed. No magnetically ``dead'' layers found. magnetization per volume is slightly enhanced bulk NiPt alloys.
