摘要: Cotton fiber development is a fundamental biological phenomenon, yet the molecular basis of cell initiation poorly understood. We examined and cellular events in naked seed mutant (N1N1) its isogenic line cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L. cv. Texas Marker-1, TM-1). The dominant mutation not only delayed process formation elongation but also reduced total number cells, resulting sparsely distributed short fibers. Gene expression changes TM-1 N1N1 lines among four tissues were analyzed using spotted oligo-gene microarrays. Using Arabidopsis genes, we selected designed ∼1,334 70-mer oligos from subset ESTs. Statistical analysis microarray data indicates that significantly differentially expressed genes was 856 leaves compared to ovules (3 days post-anthesis, DPA), 632 petals relative (3 DPA), 91 at 0 DPA 3 DPA, all TM-1. Moreover, 117 30 different three 0 DPA, respectively, between N1N1. Quantitative RT-PCR 23 fiber-associated seven including ovules, fiber-bearing fibers, non-fiber mode temporal regulation involved transcriptional translational regulation, signal transduction, differentiation during early stages development. Suppression may suggest disrupts gene expression, leading defective
