摘要: Ligon lintless-1 (Li1) is a Gossypium hirsutum mutant that controlled by dominant gene arrests the development of cotton fiber after anthesis. Two F2 mapping populations were developed from (Li1 × H7124) F1 plants in 2012 and 2013; each was composed 142 1024 plants, respectively. Using these populations, Li1 mapped to 0.3-cM region which nine single-strand conformation polymorphism markers co-segregated with locus. In published G. raimondii genome, about 1.2 Mb (the region) separated flanked locus genetic map, dividing into three segments. Thirty-six genes annotated prediction software FGENESH (Softberry) region. Twelve candidates Li1, while remaining 24 identified as transposable elements, DNA/RNA polymerase superfamily or unknown function genes. Among 12 candidate genes, those encoding ribosomal protein s10, actin protein, ATP synthase, beta-tubulin 5 most-promising because closely related development. High-throughput RNA sequencing quantitative PCR revealed had obvious differential expression between wild-type at elongation stage, strengthening inference they could be most likely phenotype.
