摘要: Many motile bacteria have the motility organ, flagellum. It rotates by rotary motor driven ion-motive force and is embedded in cell surface at base of each flagellar filament. researchers been studying its mechanism for years, but most energy conversion processes remained mystery. We focused on stator, which works core process conversion, found that periplasmic region stator changes conformation to be activated only when units are incorporated into anchored wall. Meanwhile, physiologically important supramolecular complex localized right place time with a proper amount. How achieves such localization fundamental question life science, we undertake this problem analyzing biogenesis single polar flagellum Vibrio alginolyticus. Here I describe molecular how generated specific number, also complete functional assembly, based our studies.
