摘要: Abstract The articular cartilage covering of the mandibular condyle and eminence, as well tissue disc, may be affected by degenerative changes associated with osteoarthrosis. Degenerative alter its physical properties and, a result, affect ability to withstand compressive shearing stresses. Increased friction between surfaces impair joint movement elicit compensatory or pathologic responses adjacent tissues, such capsule ligaments, synovial membrane, subchondral bone, musculature. In this review, these structural are described related common signs symptoms cranioman-dibular dysfunction, clicking, locking instability, pain tenderness, restricted ranges motion, crepitation, deformity, muscle wasting, occlusion.
