摘要: Abstract A set of experiments carried out to study the possible role radon (Rn) and its daughters in conversion gaseous sulphur dioxide into particulate sulphate atmosphere is described. The were performed under simulated atmospheric conditions a reaction vessel containing known quantities SO2, O2 C2H4 varying concentrations. introduction Rn gas concentrations ranges prevalent resulted an enhancement particle generation vessel. An increase concentration from 100 500 pCi m−3 aerosol 6 × 104 1.4 10 5 cm −3 . Since used for these correspond average levels at ground level it can be expected that significant fraction formation could influenced by background Rn. This observation has implications mechanisms.
