摘要: GDF8 (myostatin) is a unique cytokine strongly affecting the skeletal muscle phenotype in human and animals. The aim of present study was to elucidate molecular mechanism myostatin influence on differentiation mouse C2C12 myoblasts, using global-transcriptome analysis with DNA microarray technique. Treatment exogenous affected growth development myoblasts. This manifested by inhibition proliferation as well impairment cell fusion. revealed 778 genes regulated differentiating myoblasts (436 down-regulated 235 up-regulated). Ontological their involvement 17 types biological processes, 10 functions 68 different signalling pathways. effect mainly mediated disruption cycle, calcium insulin pathways expression cytoskeletal specific proteins. identified key-genes that could play role targets are: Mef2, Hgf, Ilbl, Itgb1, Edn1, Ppargc1a.
