摘要: Abstract Diatomaceous earth was mixed with Brazil nut shell ash (BNS ash) in different amounts between 0 and 30 wt% sintered at temperatures 750 950 °C. The BNS contains 33 wt% K2O 11 wt% CaO mainly carbonate form. addition of into the diatomaceous caused significant changes microstructure after sintering. produces lightweight porous bricks acceptable strength lower sintering temperature. best combination porosity achieved for a mixture 10 wt% 850 °C. high 49%, density 1.06 g/cm3, thermal conductivity 0.20 W/(m K) compressive 8.5 MPa.
