摘要: We investigated individual differences in the neural substrates of morphosyntactic processing among monolingual English speakers using event-related potentials (ERPs). Although grand-mean analysis showed a biphasic LAN-P600 pattern to grammatical violations, individuals׳ ERP responses that brain varied systematically along continuum between negativity- and positivity-dominant across individuals. Moreover, left hemisphere topography negativity resulted from component overlap centro-parietal N400 some individuals right hemisphere-dominant P600 others. Our results show waveforms do not always reflect separable stages within individuals, moreover, LAN can be variant N400.
