摘要: The primary function of the small bowel is absorption nutrients, and motor patterns healthy are intended to promote that function. result close interaction between enteric nervous system, extrinsic nerves, regulatory peptides, intestinal smooth muscle. basic electrical rhythm governing contractions determined by specialized pacemaker cells called interstitial Cajal. Diseases affecting any these components may in dysmotility its associated symptoms. Although transit studies manometry helpful diagnosis dysmotility, our understanding pathophysiology hampered difficulties involved obtaining analyzing tissue. Treatment relies on dietary manipulations nutritional support (enteral or parenteral) because there no drug therapy can effectively enhance propulsive bowel. Small transplantation remains a life-saving intervention for patients who fail respond other therapies.
