摘要: Lactoferrin (LF) is an iron-binding glycoprotein found in different biological fluids of mammals and neutrophils. LF considered to be important host defense molecule exhibits a diverse range physiological functions such as antimicrobial, immunomodulatory, antioxidant activity. Experimental clinical research carried out over the last 30 years has accumulated increasing evidence about potential beneficial health effects its derivatives. These benefits may include anti-infective, anticancer, anti-inflammatory effects. The expanding knowledge multifunctional role enlarged scope applications, from food preservation health-promoting foods supplements, pharmaceuticals, health-care products, cosmetics, animal feeds. Bovine recombinant human are now commercially available for development commercial applications preservation, fish farming, infant milk formulae, oral hygiene. Also, medicinal can envisaged future it been proven highly biocompatible safe use.
