摘要: α,ω-Dibromide-functionalized poly(γ-caprolactone) was synthesized by reacting α,ω-dihydroxy-terminated with an excess of 2-bromoisobutyryl bromide, leading to above 99% esterification. The resulting dibromide end-functionalized polycaprolactone (Br-PCL-Br) found “polymerize” in the presence copper(I) chloride catalyst without addition vinyl monomers. Size exclusion chromatography (SEC) clearly revealed that molecular weight “polymerized” macroinitiator shifts higher values, and a broad peak obtained main centered at which twice Br-PCL-Br precursor, suggesting reaction is bimolecular coupling (∼80%), while shoulder weights about 6−7 times also observed attributed multimolecular coupling. effects temperature copper(II) on radical reactions were studied.
