摘要: Objective To investigate the plasma and peritoneal fluid (PF) concentrations of CA-125 placental protein (PP14) in women with deeply infiltrating endometriosis. Design Plasma PF were collected during 384 consecutive laparoscopies for pelvic pain or infertility. Main Outcome Measure The presence extent endometriosis carefully assessed, including area, depth infiltration, volume subtle lesions, typical endometriomas. day menstrual cycle was ascertained by endometrial biopsy and/or basal body temperature charts. Results Peritoneal some 100 10 times higher than PP14, respectively. Cyclic variations only found showing increased at end early follicular phase. PP14 without both late luteal phases. In correlated endometriomas area endometriotic lesions. diagnostic sensitivity specificity 25% 87%, respectively, 36% a cutoff concentration 25 U/mL. Conclusion Superficial secretes mainly toward PF, whereas secrete plasma. are most pronounced phase, can be detected 87%.
