摘要: This research aims to identify the issues pertinent implementation of new curricula in small island state Saint Lucia and focuses particular on Organization Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Harmonized Language Arts Curriculum which was developed as part OECS Education Reform project. The intentions this are fill gaps significant information knowledge how processes work post colonial, states, those sub region, by giving voice hitherto unheard from reform process. key question posed is: “How is curriculum process represented insider voices discourse Lucia?” The study qualitative nature, using a dialogic approach collecting data way audio/video taped conversations, focus groups panel discussion. Data collected over seven month period through conversations with participants who were representative various strata education system: policy makers officers, principals teachers. analysed constant comparative method (Glaser & Strauss, 1967; Strauss Corbin, 1990; Charmaz, 2006) sorted, classified coded combination electronic manual processes. The results indicate that despite plethora initiatives there remains an absence mutually intelligible dialogue within, between among involved implementing curriculum. findings also illustrate need for developing collaborative systems designed facilitate institutional support, strategic preparation, ongoing professional development organized instructional supervision.
