摘要: Abstract Cytochrome c (Cyt c) is a hemoprotein involved in shuttling electrons the mitochondrial electron transport chain. Under oxidative stress conditions, interaction of Cyt with anionic phospholipids results significant enhancement its peroxidase activity that essential during apoptosis. Reverse micelles are convenient membrane mimetic nanostructures and were used here to simulate activity. was markedly enhanced sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) reverse micelles. This dependent on buffer concentration water pool mass percentage Fluorescence intensity based tryptophan residue, electronic absorption curves, circular dichroism measurements indicated partial unfolding cleavage axial methionin 80-Fe bond micellar medium resulting formation peroxidase-like artificial enzyme.
