摘要: Introduction: Lead (Pb) is one of the major occupational pollutants present in developed and developing countries including India. In humans, Pb can cause a wide range biological effects depending upon level duration exposure. The goal this study was to evaluate blood lead levels (BLLs) its associated on vitamin D calcium metabolism, among workers occupationally exposed Pb. Materials Methods: This cross-sectional, case-control conducted for period 18 months (January 2017 July 2018). A total 160 subjects were included (80 each, Pb-exposed group control group). quantified by using an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry with triple quadrupole technology (iCAP™ TQ ICP-MS). Other biochemical parameters estimated fully automatic analyzer RANDOX, RX-imola, Crumlin, UK Johnson Johnson, VITROS® ECi Q, Immunodiagnostic system, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, New Jersey, USA. Results: Upon analysis it observed that serum calcium, phosphorous, significantly decreased (8.35 ± 0.42 mg/dl, 3.07 0.34 28.82 10.81 ng/ml respectively;P < 0.001), whereas BLL iPTH increased (38.02 19.92 μg/dl 116.78 19.93 pg/ml 0.001) as compared subjects. Conclusion: Our results demonstrated high alter metabolism. data extrapolated from our emphasizes necessity surveillance workers. As deleterious Pb-exposure be serious, we propose routine-periodical screening should conducted.
