摘要: Abstract Two novel Cd(II) and Zn(II) complexes with the condensation product of 2-formylpyridine selenosemicarbazide were synthesized. The structure complex was determined by X-ray crystallography. ligand is coordinated in a neutral form via pyridine azomethine nitrogen atoms selenium donor. cadmium ion completes its five-coordination two chloride ligands, forming square-pyramidal geometry. established analysis spectroscopic data, which indicated coordination as bidentate atoms. cytotoxic activity newly synthesized complexes, well if five structurally related evaluated against eight tumor cell lines. new showed highest similar to cisplatin IC50 less than 10 μM for all Cell cycle distribution apoptosis study that might have some similarity anticancer activity, not case other studied complexes. Effects on matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) MMP-9 MMP-2 also studied. increased supernatants tested cells, while Ni(II) same decreased implying possible preventing invasion metastasis processes.
