Complement and the regulation of humoral immune responses

摘要: The complement component C3 is involved in the successful induction of a normal antibody response, but its mode action unclear. From studies with deficient guinea pigs Erik Bottger and Dieter-Suermann suggest that failure to stimulate generation result depletion, rather than suppression activation by fragments. In addition, they propose may have second regulatory function, being indirectly or directly polyclonal lymphocytes.
