摘要: Managing several tasks concurrently is an everyday part of cockpit operations. For the most part, crews handle concurrent task demands efficiently, yet crew preoccupation with one to detriment performing other more common forms error in cockpit. Most pilots are familiar December 1972 L1011 crash that occurred when became preoccupied a landing gear light malfunction and failed notice someone had inadvertently bumped off autopilot. More recently DC-9 landed gear-up Houston crew, stabilized approach, recognize was not down because they switched hydraulic pumps high. We have started research project study why vulnerable these sorts errors. As we reviewed NTSB reports accidents attributed error; concluded nearly half involved lapses attention associated interruptions, distractions, or exclusion another task. also analyzed 107 ASRS involving competing tasks; present here some our conclusions from those reports. These 21 different types routine neglected at critical moment while attending Sixty-nine percent either failure monitor current status position aircraft actions pilot flying taxiing. Thirty-four activities distracted pilots. Ninety fell into four broad categories: communication (e.g., discussion among radio communication), heads-down work programming FMS reviewing approach plates), responding abnormals, searching for VMC traffic. will discuss examples each categories suggest things can do reduce their vulnerability similar situations.
