摘要: Abstract Forest policies and management increasingly rely on economic models to explain behaviors of landowners project forest outputs, inventories land use. However, it is unclear whether the existing econometric offer general conclusions concerning non-industrial private (NIPF) or results are case-specific. In this paper, we systematically review empirical economics literature NIPF timber harvesting, reforestation, stand improvements (TSI). We confirm four primary categories determinants: market drivers, policy variables, owner characteristics plot/resource conditions. most basic form meta-analysis, vote counting, combine information from many studies produce more knowledge key determinants reforestation TSI within these categories. Despite substantial differences in variables used across models, use meta-analysis enables systematic identification factors that important explaining management. conclude with some methodological suggestions.
