摘要: The distribution of avian pancreatic polypeptide-like (APP) immuno-reactivity within the rat hypothalamus was investigated with indirect immunoperoxidase method. APP immun ore active perikarya are found in largest numbers retrochiasmatic area, arcuate nucleus, and supracommissural portion interstitial nucleus stria terminalis. Small clusters immunoreactive neurons also consistently observed ventral aspect medial preoptic area lateral hypothalamic immediately dorsolateral to optic chiasm tracts. These apparent all animals but more intensely stained occur larger following colchicinepretreatment. Other visible only colchicine-treated rats scattered throughout anterior areas supramammillary nucleus. Immunoreactive axons terminal fields present an extensive highly characteristic hypothalamus, which many instances exhibits differential specific subfields hypo-thalamic nuclei areas. heaviest concentrations immuno-reactive periventricular ros-trocaudal extent ventrolateral suprachiasmatic parvocellular para-ventricularnucleus, supraopticnucleus, theperifornical dorsomedial Moderate plexuses fibers areas, circularis, median eminence, premammillary area. such as ventromedial contain virtually no encapsulated by a dense plexus terminals. major component marked similarity that previously described norepinephrine-containing afferents. groups appear represent components intrinsic diencephalic systems.
